Airshow Down Under

Well for those of you whom know the last couple days have been the Avalon Air Show, and i had the fortune of going to three days of it. I learnt several things,

1. the K10D's AF will keep up with an Aircraft doing 1,000 Km/h.
2. The Samsung 50-200 f4-5.6 will keep up with an Aircraft doing 1,000 Km/h.
3. I cannot keep up with an Aircraft doing 1,000 Km/h.

Any way, all things considered i had a good weekend, i went 6 years ago and shot 6-7 rolls of film, this weekend i shot 36Gb of RAWs. It will take a while to weed out the crap, but i think that i may have several keepers , will post some when i have had a chance to go through them.

36GB? Wow. With all the clicking you did, have you considered a video camera? I only get that much hard-drive clogging material when I roll video!

I wished I could be there. I knew there was the biggest air show hosted in avalon this year in Victoria. I guess there would be a bit of work to chase these aircrafts

Will you share the photos ?

Next up is a F-111C "Pig" (RAAF) doing a flyby.

F/A-18 Hornets (RAAF) peeling off formation.

F-16CG, (USAF).

Four F/A-18 Hornets from the RAAF's version of Top Gun

And to finish off with a couple shots of an F-15 Eagle.

All taken with the K10D, with the Samsung 50-200.

Well, the answer to this one is easy, you just have to learn how to pedal faster!

Whoa! Thats a lot of airplanes, and PP time. Hope you like sitting in front of your screen! Can people now recognise you by the overdeveloped muscle in your right index finger?
Seriously, that is a lot of captures, but I can see it happening, I took over 500 shots yesterday, and I spent quite a few hours traveling around, so I don't find it inconceivable. Have fun processing them all!

Great shots Cideway, loved them all, but the parachute one is pretty special. There is something about airplanes that is just fascinating

I'm loving the last eagle pic, and the first parachute pic.

Nice work, can't wait to see the rest.
