K10D no lens information

Not sure if it's supposed to be like that, but I can only determine the lens that was used by looking at the focal length.
There is a field in the exif info called 'lens name' but it's 'empty' (--).

Will this be solved by a firmware update (currently on one of the first ones)?

PS Using DA18-55 AL II and DA55-300

PC Software. If your version of Photo Browser is the one that came with the K10D, it was produced before either the 18-55II or 55-300 and hence doesn't know about them yet. You can probably download an update from Pentax.

You can't buy all these new lenses, you must stick with the older stuff, well older than your camera.

Update

It indeed did the trick. But it feels a lot slower now.

Thanks again
