I'm faily certain its a white ballance thing.

For the record, I got my k10D (my first SLR too) a couple of weeks ago and am using the 18-55mm that came with it as well as my mother's old lenses: SMC-M 50mm f1.7 and SMC-M 80-200mm. I have to admit that I love the 50mm. The only drawback is that it can be tricky to focus with the manuals especially in low light and this often means that the moment I wanted to capture has gone. Thus I am thinking of either Sigma 30mm f1.4, SMC FA 50mm f1.4 or the SMC 50 FA f1.7. What do you guys reckon on that? i think I might go with sigma since the 50mm ones (due to the multiplyer) are nearer 75mm meaning I often have to step back, whereas the 30mm is more like 45mm thus generating the near-eye scaling that one would use a 50mm of a 35mm SLR.

I have a handy moleskine journal and pen always in my camera bag - I'll be sure that they're put to good use!

As always, I'm constantly amazed at the quality of people there are on this board.
Thanks again on your continued support in helping out this baby Pentaxian

I've updated my flickr (for those of you who are interested).
If you have a flickr account, please add me as a friend/contact!

I'm having trouble with a "orange-yellow" hue that's taking over most of my pictures (like in this one):
looking for something to turn on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

the lighting was actually under bright white fluorescent. I thought it was a White-Balance using, but it replicates all the same colors except under tungsten (which gives off a blue hue). I'm still trying to tackle all the diff. settings on a dSLR, so as usual, ANY tips/guidance is GREATLY appreciated!
I like the effect of those colors in your shot.... I would just shoot raw and you can correct the white balance yourself. it can also be done in photoshop to jpgs.... just use the photo filter option (not as effective but can work very well)

great shots, btw!

cheers
