a K10D mode dial error

something seems to be wrong with the mode dial positions, when its turned to M, it still shows Bulb Exposure (which is right next to Manual on dial). so theres basically 2 positions of it for Bulb. only position where it switches to Manual mode is when the dial is between M and TAv positions. i discovered this error recently and it wasnt there before. i wonder what went wrong and how to fix it?
thanks for your ideas.

I have discovered that any time one of the dials (istD or K20D) is not clicked into position (both e dials and focus point selector). That is, when any of the dials is left of moved out of position, then strange things start to happen, like erroneous information, camera won't shoot, camera freeze or whatever strange behavior you can think off.

Make sure all three dials (both e-dials and focus point selector) are correctly clicked. Also, if using BG grip and its ON, those extra e-dials will screw up if left between clicks.
