I was pretty much done with VPN after the "Test - are you sensitive..." thread at DPR. In that thread I tried to understand what people see. The technical aspects where allready discussed to my satisfaction, and more.

Now it is just the same as every other thread that has been discussed earlier. You know, suddenly somebody will discover the exposure problem with old manual lenses again...

What that provoced me was of course John's post.

All I hope is that Pentax fixes the problem, silently and suddenly perhaps, or with the next model.

Also, very kindly, really.
Hi Lance,

As I said in my reply to Steve I am really done with the topic.

As we now all have repeated where we stand everything is fine. VPN exists to different degrees, we hope Pentax fixes it, and there is not much more to it.

And I have gotten another lesson in forum psychology.

Salut,

Amen to that!

The future does look tough following a night of the long knives and the falling on swords at Pentax board level.

Any Pentaxanian billionaires out there with a sensible plan and some petty cash lying around, or do we form a consortium?

Salut,
It also just proves that negativity propagates at least 10 times more effectively than positivity!

Have a great day!

Larry, I feel for you. You were the first to reply to this thread and your sample is a good/bad example of VPN. I can understand if you feel dissapointed. I also hope you get it solved, either with an exchange or a repair.

I sincerely wish you good luck resolving this,
