Hi HermanLee

Interestingly it was the particularly ham-fisted implementation of the live-view "feature" combined with the stupid dark frame subtraction issue that eventually put me off upgrading from the K10D to the K20D in the first place ! I take quite a lot of night city shots on my travels and regrettably the dark frame process on the K20D cannot be turned off, which was sadly the final deal-breaker for me. Let's hope that these irritating foibles are successfully addressed in the forthcoming model ?

Best regards,
Richard
Richard, if you shoot a lot of night city shots as you say, then you would have discovered that the Multi-Exposure Mode of the K10D/K20D to be a tremendous benefit for the kind of photography you mention. The results of this feature far outweighs the supposed issue of the dark frame subtraction that you and another vocal poster have mentioned.

Like LV, don't be too quick to diss it if you haven't used it.

Good point. I never thought about that.
Thanks. However, I forgot to mention...

Some lenses do have spherical abberation, i.e., the best focus plane depends on the aperture. Pentax' AF firmware contains correction values for them. My trick (focus fully open, shoot stopped down) shouldn't be used with any of these lenses.
