Right handed, and right eye dominant, and up and until 2 years ago, the right eye was the one i used.

I now have to use the left, non dominant eye, due to problems, first a cataract op, which didnt do much apart from let me see all the other problems ... some jelly like fluid detached itself from the back of the eye and is now floating around in full view. Plus the floaters i have were only tiny dots before the op, and now in the right eye, it looks like a donut, and is 1000x times more of a probelm.

Laser treatment failed to do anything at all - nothing. zilch. nada

Next stage is major op behind the eye to remove this nasty " debris ".

Right eye, which is totally dominant. I don't even look out of my left eye when I'm not wearing glasses. No, seriously.

Because we'll all be using mirrorless cameras without viewfinders soon...

Left eye as its stronger, could probably train my right but no biggie. I sometimes shoot with my right so I can track a larger area for movement with my left outside of the camera body. I do this particularly for BIF photos.

my left eye much stronger with brighter colours, so left eye only.
KX was great, now I added K7 and my nose is where green button is ( WHY? , the location on KX was perfect, K5 is the same as K7) , I use lot of manual old lenses.
some people are claiming that 2012 will be the end of OVF ( hm....have the Q and love it ) will wait and see....

Left eye has better sight but I use the weaker right eye to avoid touching the LCD with my nose. I am now experimenting with my left eye but the dioptre setting wheel above the viewfinder has to be adjusted slightly as I have unequal myopia in each eye. I wear bifocals and am right-handed.

Left eye because the right needs a lot of correction.
Because my nose hit the Live View button once too many, I attached the eye piece O-ME53, which gives a bit more 'headspace' with the added bonus of enhanced viewfinder image.

Left eye.
Agree that the green button placement on K-5 is much worse than K-x.

This poll also strongly suggests that left-eye shooters are not a miniscule proportion of shooters. I wish camera makers would remember this.

The poll is closed ... ?

Bonjour,

Both left and right, but predominatinely ("the") right eye now (right handed as well). Will use left eye for maybe more stability with elbows in, etc., but hate to wipe off the back of the LCD screen every ten minutes ...

Et voilą - Salut, J Frog

Began with my right eye, but due to cataract have switched to my left eye. Will shorlty have cataract surgery and if it works out I will likely swiitch back. Also wear eyeglasses. Have purchased aan LX with eye-level finder for eyeglass wearing while film shooting. Purchased K-01 to learn to use LiceView exclusively. If none of these are satisfactory, I'll just have to go to a view camera.

Mon dieu, SVP non !!!

Mirrorless for the entry level(s) = OK ... , but IMHO, always an OFV (100%) for the "pro-sumer"/"semi-pro" and/or top shelf DSLR's ...

On verra, J Frog

Bonjour monochrome,

Alors, c'est comment?

What's your take on the K-01 ... have you posted somewhere already?

"Curious minds want to know ..."

Bien cordialement, J Frog
