Clearly the solution is to pay for your camera with VISA and make sure it's covered in their no questions ask extended warranty, then "accidentally" destroy the thing. That way, you'll know exactly how much abuse it can take, you get to replace it for free, and you'll have done your part to convince Hoya to invest more in Pentax bodies.
