came yesterday!

These are just some shots taken on my Pentax K10d with the Quantaray (tamron) 70-300 in macro mode. all i need is printer paper and a desk lamp... let pentax do the rest!

Here are some of my K10d taken with the K20d. The 55-300 doesnt perform as well in lower light at closer range but it did a pretty good job.

I believe that I am going to take both. I would hate to be all the way in Costa Rica in some amazingly remote location to have one camera to rely on. I think two bodies would be safer for a 3 month trip..... far away from the reach of Amazon or Adorama!

Those are great product shots for sure! After seeing your shots of the k20 w/ your k10, I was going to say return your k20... you don't need it! But I'm sure you'll find as I have that the k20 does have some very nice improvements. I'm about to go overseas in a month and I too think I'll want to have two bodies with me; in windy, dusty, or wet conditions, not having to change lenses will be nice. Good luck and congrats!

haha i think this shoot didnt do the K20d justice since the Quantaray had macro mode while the 55-300 didnt. outdoors the difference is very very clear. but indeed I cant wait to go abroad with both

Do you have any more comments on the 55-300?
Considering one for myself, mostly for outside and some night shooting.
