GX-1L compatibility with Pentax accessories

Is the GX-1L fully compatible with all the relevant Pentax accessories? For example, can you use the Pentax flash with it? What about wired remotes, wireless remote, etc. I can't think of any others but feel free to chime in with anything else.

Yes, as far as I know.

Never tried the flashes, but the remotes work fine. I recently acquired a used shutter grip for the pentax istDL, the SG-1, and it fits/works nicely as well.

Thanks! Where did you find the grip for the DL? I might be interested in that.

A company from Korea manufactures them, called Dicain SG-1.
They cost about 120$ shipped new or much less if you find a used grip on ebay.

BTW, my sister received the GX-1L today and was sooo stoked! By extension, I'm stoked too. I only wish we lived close to each other so we could go out and shoot together. She/I will probably have more questions, but from what I've seen the GX-1L seems virtually identical to the *ist DL, which I have (for the second time around). Menus at least seem identical, which is helpful.

Have you used the Samsung software?

The GX-1L is identical to the *istDL2, a minor upgrade from the *istDL.
*istDL2 adds a couple more focal points to a total of 5, the istDL has 3.

I haven't bothered with the samsung software, maybe i should give it a chance.

Check the software out - I think Silkypix raw converter was included which is excellent - I may be mistaken.

Did that come on the disc in the box? I didn't make a copy of it before I sent it to my sister. I downloaded software from their site, but it seemed more like a file explorer with just basic editing options. I hope they did include Silkypix so my sister will have a decent raw converter. She's new to the whole dSLR/raw image scene.

My cd has no such program. It only features a program called Digimax Master.
