OK, just to thank everyone for their input
The money's waiting for the right K10 to come up, hopefully soon 'cause I'm getting very impatient...

Waiting is the hardest part. Nothing against the K200D, but I think you're making the right choice. Even though the two cameras look very similar on paper, there's more to it than just specs. The K10D was built to compete in a market slightly above the K200D. But, there really was no wrong choice here. Either way you went, you were going to get a good camera.

Having just switched from K100 to K10 i'd suggest going for the K10d... You'll appreciate having these extra buttons and a slightly brighter VF...

The only downside is that K10 is a tad larger and uses proprietary batteries...

Just an update, found a K10, tomorrow I'm going to see if it's worth buying and I'll be letting you know how it turns out in the evening

Go for the warranty.

I recently bought a 'new' ist DS from Ritz/Wolfe. Fit my needs, and the price was right. Used it a bit, and wasn't happy with the viewfinder focus. Best viewfinder focus didn't agree with clearest images. It's currently back at Pentax for a no cost 'adjustment'. If you do go the 'no warranty' route, I suggest you check the camera carefully. My experience would suggesting checking for front/back focus in both autofocus and manual focus modes. Why buy a camera that's 'off' if you're going to have to pay for the fix. Of your two choices, I'd prefer the K10D - primarily for the better viewfinder and for the shake reduction, but the weather sealing is nice too.

Have fun and try to shoot in RAW. Raw will give so much more latitude.

Now you need to get at least a 4GB card (8GB is even better), then the grip, then lots of lenses...

Calm down...
First I have to read the manual, I'll do that in 3-4 weeks, because I really don't have any spare time, then when I get to know the camera (first DSLR), we'll see what can be done. I don't have any money to invest right now, but the first thing I'll try to buy will be a fast prime lens and probably a bigger bag...
