Hi there, it might be the dust removal, you should check if you have ticked it as a start-up action.

Yep, if it's a kind of "kerchunk" that you can feel when you hold the camera, it means you've got the anti-dust sensor shaker set to activate when you turn the camera on. You can turn it off in the tools menu.

Yep that's what it is. Also does the K100D Super have both .PEF and .DNG format or is that just the K10D and on?
