Wow! Those pics' on your flickr are dramatic, beautiful. Re NR, I've got if off all the time now and stupid me did not realise that with a longer and longer exposure, e.g. 5 mins' for one of a constellation the other night, it equally takes 5 mins' (and all that battery power (as it seems notoriously difficult to get hold of the K10/K20's AC adaptors for love nor money!) gets zapped too) for it to shoot the dark frame for subtraction, 10 minutes is tooooooooo long. Throw in any bracketing and you might as well go watch TV and come back. Hence, NR is off for good. As I say, from my limited knowledge of 'pixel peeping', RAW does not seem to suffer, only JPEG for not having NR on. Anyway, got the answers I was after, thanks for all the advice. When I feel confident enough I'll post a pic' up myself. Thanks.
