K20d Slow Sync Flash

This evening I was taking some images using the trailing curtain flash function. I then noticed the slow speed sync option was not there. Is there anyone that might have an idea as to why this is? How can I get it back?

Ok, I was in Manual Mode. If I switch in Aperture Priority, it returns along with slow speed sync+red eye. Can anyone explain why the options aren't there in manual mode?

Just set your camera in manual mode or set the shutter speed to a slow speed.
