K200D auto bracket AND IR remote?

Is there any way to use a K200D auto bracket mode AND use an Infra red remote shutter release at the same time?
My search throught the menus seems to indicate its one or the other but not both features at the same time.

Unfortunately not. The IR receiver is only active when the drive mode is set to one of the remote options, but since it treats exposure bracketing as a separate drive mode, you can't have both at the same time.

It's one of the reasons I plan to get myself a cable release eventually.

I "manufactured" a perfectly operational cable release for K200d, from an old handsfree cable, two NO switches, and a bi-stable switch. I used a bed lamp switch to house the whole thing.
The cable release does the following:
-auto-focus triggering
-shutter
-big switch is used for Bulb exposure.
