I have K2000 and this is my 1st SLR camera. I bought an M lens on ebay, and I tried it but it wont worked. It shows this message on the screen (F_ _). I put it on manual focus, but everytime I press the shutter button it does not clicked, or take pictures. Do I need an adapter? Any advice ?

It will work fine, but there are a couple of settings you need to change.

Check out my Pictorial Guide to Using Manual Lenses article on the DPReview forum. It's written for the K100D Super but the K2000 will be very similar.

On the K-m / K2000, the stop-down exposure procedure is slightly different than the K100D. On the K-m, it is set using the exposure-compensation button (+/-) on the top of the camera.

Since no exposure-compensation can be applied in "M" exposure mode, this button has a sensible secondary label of "Av" since pressing it temporarily shifts the exposure mode from "M" to "Av"
