On my travels I 24mm and 50mm primes (for my mz5n or K1000)... I take a long zoom and my standard zoom and never use them... or my tripod for that matter. Silly isn't it..

Post some photos if Italy!

Hi Steven,
Thanks for the great kit review, I'm sure many people will find that very helpful. Not sure about leaving the 50-200 behind though, in certain situations it can be very useful...and its very light.
Hope the cold is better.
When do we see the photos?.....please...

I think it is somewhere in Caprie island with a famous blue light cave

Yes! the orange umbrellas are on the southern end of the northern beach of Positano. Oh, how I want to go back...

just returned from my 10-day-trip to Lago Maggiore.
Walked a lot in the mountains.
I took too many lenses with me.
Used most often
- AF 18-55 (for those walks...)
- Tamron 70-300
- Zenith 2.8/16 (when 18mm isn't wide enough and inside the churches)
- Pentax F 1.7/50 (interior and night shots)

- and no other lenses. Took some more with me but if you go anywhere with your family you simply cannot stay too long just to take some shots with different lenses.

In order not to switch lenses too often I took both DS and K100D with me. The 18-55/Zenith on the DS and the Telezoom/50mm on the K100D.
Much faster to take the other dslr out of the bag instaed of changing lenses.

We had a nice time there. Esp. beside the tourist routes/roads.

It takes me one day to go there with my campingcar so we're doing that quite regularly about easter.
