Monitors have been able to reproduce all of or at least most of AdobeRGB for a while

my 30inch dell here does "114% of srgb" and 98% of AdobeRGB, They need to be the latest LCD LED backlite or special extra extra white tube based ones.

the difference is day and night. (and this is only a 2k monitor not the really serious graphics ones)

Of course you must have hardware calibration, but if your doing digital photography without proper calibration its like trying to work in a darkroom with a skylight :P

From my experience, this is what I've figured out.

I shot AdobeRGB for a while, and when I processed them through whatever program (either Lightroom, Photoshop, or PPL) and then uploaded them to the web (Flickr, Picasa, etc.), but the colours were really bad, they weren't at all "vibrant" or anything like that. So, I went to sRGB and my problem was fixed..

I tend to always use Lightroom to process any of my RAW's only because I find PPL so very slow..

Anyways, that's my advice..

I have one example from last week, where the sRGB was not enough.
I found out that my printstudio did only sRGB and not AdobeRGB.
