K10D drive mode selection, and flash compensation

Hi All,

I haven't found a thread about this, so I'll just ask.

Is there a way to change the drive mode in the k10d without going into the function menu? Also, is there a way to change flash exposure compensation without going to fn menu?

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, no.

The Fn menu was designed to make menu diving less of a hedache by putting commonly used operations which required more options at the touch of a button.

I think it is a good thing without having to go into Menu mode to find more options and capabilities of the camera.

It already has a lot of buttons, but some functions require more options than just a one button fuction.

Just press Fn to access your WB, drive mode, ISO, or flash, then use your four way rocker to adjust your settings. I quickly mastered it, but then again, I like a lot of controls and I think the Fn menu simplifies that.

A dedicated flash exposure button would be nice.

Pentax probably could have done that with the K10D. I don't know the *istD very well. In my opinion Pentax felt the need to integrate those fuctions along with two others to maybe simplify an already complicated camera.
