Unomat 320TCD twin flash with K100D ?

Can I use the Unomat 320TCD twin flash with the K100D ?
It is a "multi-dedicated" flash, guide number 32/100 ISO, with a selector [C-M-N-O-P-S] for some models of: Canon, Leica (the M setting), Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Standard (for cameras without automatic flash systems).
For Pentax it works for example with the ME-Super and the MV-1.
Does any one of you know?
Thanks.

luis,
if it's a TTL flash and i believe it is then i know it will not work automatically on the k100. the problem is that pentax (with their greater wisdom) dropped support for TTL. the k100 only supports P-TTL.
don't give up tho. i have a ring flash that i can use in manual mode on my DS. you have to experiment with your aperture settings and the flashes output and the lens you are using to find the optimum exposure settings. after trial and error with my smc-M100mm f4, i found my best exposure settings for macro would be f16, 1/180sec, and the ring flash set to 1/4 power at as close of focus the lens could focus.. that's the only way i used this lense but i would imagine is i was twice the distance away i'd probably have to drop the aperture down to f11..

hope this helped,
roy

ringlight flash

Roy, I also have a DS and it works well with the Phoenix ttl ring flash. You don't have to go manual with it. Unfortunately, it won't work with the K100D which is P-ttl only. I am still hanging on to my DS for this reason. The K100D sure has tempted me though. If it had the larger viewfinder and ttl of the DS it would already be a done deal. Waiting for the bigger brother.
thanks

it's a TTL flash. that's why it works with the DS.
my ring flash is strickly manual. i just tried it out with my vivitar 105 f2.5 macro. it's like my 100 f4 pentax. it exposes best at f16, 1/180sec with the flash output at1/4....
