Pentax K20D.

Hi everyone soon i will be the owner of the K20D but right now i have the Canon 40D that should be sold tomorrow don't ask me why i am selling it as i really like the 40D, i hope i am not making a wrong move, but i wanted to ask i found the K20D body only for 700.00 Euro and need lenses i would want a good prime like a 30mm because i sometimes shoot weddings, then i was thinking about the Pentax 17-70 that has great reviews, now what about a zoom lens? thanks

Spartan,
You and me both. I just ordered my K20 yesterday. I have a K10D now, but it became to hard to pass up current savings on the K20. I need/want the better low light performance.

Congrats with your new K20D!
If you really like 30mm focal length, you won't go wrong or any better than to buy the ultimate FA 31mm Limited
It's almost like the one of the best primes in the world for that focal length.

After that you can get the other two amigos (43 & 77).

Have fun!

Nope, it's an APS-C camera with a 1.5x crop factor, meaning the sensor is 2/3 the size of a 35mm frame.

Both are correct: it's about 2/3 the size in each dimension, which works out to a little under half the total area.

You will not regret the move to getting the K20D. I am lovin every minute with mine. I bring it to work everyday as one senior teacher has requested I "take happy kids pics in school". Oh well, can only do after their xams as I see sulky faces these 2 weeks.
