Where to get a K200D

I never see these on the buy and sell forums, and I can't afford to buy one new! So where do I look to get one of these for around $350? I guess everyone who has one doesn't want to sell theirs.

I would recommend ebay and setup a saved search. I have been able to get several things via this route. There has been several sell for the price you mention.

Used to be when the ebay dealer ProDigital2000 had them in stock, that's about what they'd sell them for (either with an auction or a Buy It Now). But who knows if they'll be getting any more.

I think I may have gotten the last K200D from prophotobags (prodigital2000). I watched prices for a long time, and didn't jump as early as I should have. They stopped listing them as new about a month ago, but had one they called a "shelf" model under used on Amazon. I emailed them and was told they didn't have any more new. I grabbed that one since the price was about $50 than anyone elses's new price, even though it was higher than the lowest I had seen. I haven't seen them list a K200D since. If they were selling their demo, I doubt they expect much more stock.

I've still had hardly any luck finding one. Must be an amazing camera.

I think so! But depending on your needs and budget, the K-m, K10D, and K20D are all equally good in most ways and better in at least some (the K20D being better in most, of course, but correspondingly more expensive).

Be SURE that if you get that kind of a camera for that cheap that you buy it on ebay, or amazon through the sellers there. Those "stores" like beachphoto.com or cameraaddict.com will put a price like that for the K200D only to screw you later.

Unfortunately, I just bought Maxwells' K200D, so that ones off the market.

What do you mean "really"? It's a legitimate question since this week alone you wanted a K10D, then K200D, then K7(!)...the latter 2 in this thread alone. Going from a ~$350 budget to the ~$1200 K7...

...back to Pentax...again? It wouldn't be a huge deal but there are always threads made with too much agonizationnnnn over what to buy next...
