Okay, fine then. :)

All of your goading in the previous thread I started helped push me over the edge and I went ahead and bought a K100D, with the 40mm pancake. Carpe diem and all that. Or perhaps, no willpower whatsoever.

Either way, I'll have it in a few days. The K10D better matches what I want, but at twice the price, I figured I'll concentrate on taking pictures now, getting some nice lenses, and then probably trade the body up if/when the future versions match my expectations.

Common sense is not as common as we might think. I envy you.

And hey, B&H rocks. Ordered it with the slowest, cheapest shipping, and it'll still be here (Boston) tomorrow. Well, there goes my weekend.

I'm sure that you'll love the K100 as much as I do

I might be able to afford the K10D next year, and by then I should have a nice collection of lenses built up

Well..

That's actually the route I've been considering lately myself. Getting the K100D (which would be far more like my DS, which I still love to death), and waiting.

It's all about the battery grip though. I don't know if I can continue to live without one.

I really like the K100D, so I don't think you'll regret your decision. Have fun this weekend!

Lots of fun. I'll post more pictures when I've had more time to familiarize myself with the camera, but here's a quick snap from the BU bridge. The water looks just right for a swim, huh? (I mean, assuming you're current on your immunizations.)
