Here's an example (of color, not resolution) from unmodified (just slightly sharpened) pef originals. The jpeg translation here didn't visibly alter the on-screen appearance of the raw files. I realize there are some personal preference issues here (and nobody else can see the original scene - for example, the roof in the back is actually red/black, at least to my eyes), but I was mostly just surprised by how different the renderings were.

Top picture: more natural sky as observed by Mark Sabatella. Definite green cast on whites.
Bottom picture: magenta stronger influencing foliage (less green) roof tiles (redder). Cast less visible on whites and certainly no green there.

One agrees that K200D and K100D are different and neither is perfect. It's still a new enough subject for DSLRs not to get it right on colour.

correct

Sorry, I got the order of the files backwards/different in my 2nd post. For the color examples, the top (green) is the k200; the bottom (red) in the k100. For my two cameras anyway, the k200 is definitely the greener of the two.

You didn't mention white balance; what happens if you set it manually for each camera? I've noticed my K200D likes to make things greenish on certain days with AWB.

I prefer a slight green to a magenta cast any day, when you print you'll lose more greens and if you start magenta you skew even more magenta in print. I hate purple skies.
