K-7 at Grandfather Mountain

As some may know, every year there is a photo weekend at Grandfather Mountain, NC. There is a strong core group of Pentaxians that participate in the PDML discussion group that attend this event.

So, I thought this would be a great time to give these Pentaxians a hands-on look at the K-7. I will be at this event on May 30 with three K-7 bodies for people to try out and drool over. I believe tickets to the actual events are sold out, but if you are in the area, I am sure you could drop by.

Thanks for telling me this. I have hiked up to MaCrae's peak while visiting there. I also have a friend who is employed there and who makes part of a living as a photographer, though she shoots Nikon.

However, I will pass this thread along to her. Here is a shot from Grandfather Mt.

I take it that these 3 K-7s still have pre-production firmware?

Oh man, how unfair. I'm going to be at the Biltmore this weekend and I'm fairly sure my date would be very irate if I abandoned her to play with a new camera for a couple hours.

I heard a Pentax rep would attend this year and bring a few toys to look at.

So, it figures i have to miss this year.

Dam.

Look for the PDML lads and lasses under the Fuji blimp,, by the wash room shed.

Wow, in the 5 phases of grief, you skipped right over Denial, hit Anger and Depression, and followed up with Bargaining right here. At least Acceptance awaits you in the end...

Seriously, the K-7 is an awesome body, so you can just pre-order and get it before August, right?

Yeah, I kinda went over the deep end there for a hot minute....

Unfortunately I wont be able to afford the camera until Christmas time, of there abouts. I have too many other obligations to tend to.
