k20d problem with the firmware

Hi

A few days ago my camera went crazy

When you look photos in a camera and zoom them with the e-dial ring (or how is it called? the one which changes aperture), pics 'jump' to its normal, not zoomed size. Another problem is asking to lock or unlock photo - the same thing when you press AE-L button, but I dont press anything except that e-dial thing! And sometimes it occurs when anything is pressed

As these buttons are near each other, may it be possible that when you turn that e-dial it somehow presses the AE-L button?

Tried everything with different cards, the firmware is updated, camera has never been dropped or smth.

Thanks al lot

Hrm, I'm really not sure about the rest, but if I'm reading you right, that part may simply be a setting you've chosen. ( I recently set mine to the 'quick zoom' under the playback menu, and it took a bit of getting used to how things behave like that. Maybe you've changed that? Assuming for the moment, nothing's seriously wrong, someone could have just been playing with the menues: it's not hard to change some of the options like that and make things behave differently than you expected. Maybe if all else fails, restore the factory settings, and then set how you'd like?)

Try to reset setting to factory default in Custom Menu and see if it still does the same thing.
