Poll - K20D users - do you use D-Range?

If you are a K20D user, do you use the D-Range option? I have alternated between using ISO 100 and ISO 200 + D-Range.

When I switch to higher ISO, I tend to leave D-Range activated or not, as I switch ISO with the 'OK' button.

I don't find the extra DR to be all that useful when balanced against the increase in noise, so I use it rarely, if at all.

I use it all the time, when I'm shooting JPEG.

I've tried it several times and have never seen anything other than increased noise. Am I missing something?

I use it all the time too, but notice that my images suffer from excessive noise and usually I don't blow highlights too much. It's probably more useful if I were shooting JPG, but I shoot RAW so...

Going to try switching it off again.

I am bothered by the noise issue and don't feel like it adds that much to my photos.

Rarely - I too shoot RAW.
If I wanted a better capture of dynamic range, I'd go for HDR.

Too much shadow noise, even at low ISOs. Nice idea, but poor implementation IMHO.

I agree on "too much shadow noise". I used D-Range when the K20D was new to me, then quit.

Shoot RAW - you can do whatever you want in RAW.

Whats dynamic range
It is signal/noise ratio.
(and not what's DPReview talking about)
