73 Seals?

Hello P.F.ers, Ive owned my K10 for about 18mths, but within a month of using it,(motor cross pics) the LCD Monitor had dust in it, So i sent it back, After 2 weeks it came back Clean,? But after a few race meets, it was in there again

that was 15 mths ago!!!!! so you can imagine what it looks like Now.......
Has anyone else had this Prob, How hard would it be to take LCD Glass out

Any answers welcome. im a newby to this Great forum,

He probably means the rear one. The rear LCD on my K100D has significant dust sprays coming up from the bottom corners at this point.

Happens to the best of 'em -- my 1Ds2 had some dust in a corner of the rear LCD as well, and that thing is generally a complete and utter tank. Just took cleaning and reseating the rear LCD cover and all is fine No clue if it came from the lens, but since it looks like it snuck in under the corner I am betting it actually did get in there...

Thanx for the replies, Its the rear monitor!!! and the lense i mostly use is a smc pentax DA 50-200mm,,

is it possible to fix(oneself) take glass off and clean..

There are individual reported cases from Germany too. It is said that it is not a sealing problem but rather coming from the inside of the cam, maybe sucked in by zooming/focussing with non sealed lenses or while lens changing. It might get visible behind the screen glass because it get's there by cohesion through static charge of the LCD. Some report that Pentax cleaned it, nevertheless some claim that a seal has been exchanged at service.
