whether the K7 and shoot multiple-exposure in high speed (5.2fps)?
No, it's not. More like 2 to 3fps when set to multiple exposure. The camera slows down after 2 to 3 shots. When set to high speed continuous shooting, the speed (5.2fps) is much faster

Thx Frank, it sounds great as if it keeps 2 to 3 fps.
In K20d, the speed will slow down to something like 0.5 fps (subjective feeling).

Is K-7 able to take 5,2 pictures per second with distortion correction activated?

How long processing time is there when distortion correction is activated?

And finally, is there a preview delay when distortion correction is activated?

Yes, it can. But it'd stop after 4 shots, and take several seconds to do the correction before it takes another shot. If just take one w/ lens distortion correction enabled, it'd take a couple of seconds for the camera to do the job.

And yes again, there is a preview delay when the camera is working on the above job. Makes sense to me I guess 'cause you can't preview a photo before it's done

Blue Lizard

Frank I really liked your picture of the lizard. Nature sure has interesting designs and colours! Could you post a 100% crop of like the shoulders to the nose to see the fine details?

Now let's do some Lateral CA adjustment test. K-7 has an option to adjust Lateral CA if a DA lens is mounted. Here is the testing photo: K-7 + DA1855WR @ 18mm F3.5 wide open:

With Lat-Chromatic-Ab Adj option disabled (unchecked), right corner 100% crop:

With Lat-Chromatic-Ab Adj option enabled (checked), right corner 100% crop:

This is super cool, isn't it?

Its very nice and so is the distortion correction, too bad its slows the cam down so you need to choose between that or speed.

Hi Frank,

I'm really looking forward to my K-7. Unfortunately I'll have to wait until I can actually buy it in a shop here... No previews for me... :-(

Anyway, one thing that has me constantly wondering is which is those cool features will be available to RAW photographers?

I'm thinking about:
- HDR (multi exposure is, so HDR too?))
- Lens corrections
- EDR (does it or doesn't it? I always believed it did make a difference in RAW on the K20D)

[EDIT]
One more thing... It would be kinda nice to see a focussing screen from a K10D/K20D next to the one in the K-7. Only if you're confident enough to take them out of course!!
[/EDIT]

Wim

Is that your excuse?

The CA correction looks good.
Here's my example:
(I tested this only once, not a very good one)
