External Flash Question

Can anyone give me their opinion of the Pentax AF 360 FGZ flash? Is $200 Can. a good price for a used one? I do not have an external flash for my camera but a couple people have told me it would be a good thing to have. The person selling it said she paid $400 for it & hasn't used it much. Thanks.

I can't comment on the flash, as I don't have it, but from what I've seen on pricing, that is a decent price for it used.

In my opinion 200 is way too much for a used 360. I purchased mine new for 135.00 during a sale a year ago by Circuit City, well before they went out of business. I have been quite happy with my flash, although it does not rotate left or right. This is troublesome when shooting vertical headshot portraits. The work around with my K10 is using the remote trigger with on onboard flash to trigger the 360. It is not as powerful a strobe as the 540 flash which does rotate from side to side. Amazon has many choices of the 360 under 200.00 new. I would pass on the used one at 200. Just an opinion.

I would suggest that you buy the 540 instead. I think it's around 350-400 CAD. or the much cheaper but almost as powerful Sigma 530 Super.

I'm considering those two lens for I will use it for heavy lowlight situations which the 360 is not capable of solving.
