K-7 Pop Up Flash Higher?

I'm hearing the pop-up flash on the K-7 is higher. Have those who have tried the K-7 seen this? Does it help with red-eye at all?

I'd like to mention somthing about height too...

I've notced that on K10 with 16-50* that the lens causes a shadow. I was hoping the height might improve this. If redeye is improved...it'll be minor. Better off with proper off-camera flash unit either way, eh?.

Not just that lens. Almost any fast zoom has a wide barrel and big hood. I get shadows with the DA 17-70, the DA 16-45, and the DA*16-50.
