The K20D sounds like a camera laboring to fire off continously; the K7 almost sounds like a little motorized water pump chugging along. Man, that sounds awesome! (although still a little less impressive than my buddy's 1DS on continuous fire...!)

K-7 AF focusing sounds like a duck, and when it's in continuous shooting mode it reminds me of a money counter...

It's a money-counting duck!

Wow, that is quite a difference in volume levels. I much prefer the K-7 here, although the AF is seems a little louder and less pleasant to my ears. It's going to be a stealth camera with my M lenses though

I have a feeling this camera is going to be deadly when combined with the Pentax K 50mm f/1.2 low light stealth camera, it should be fun using it alongside my Leica M7

hmmm a duck sound describes the k7 well. Seems like you can hear the gears meshing when it focuses. In that respect the K20d sounds smoother. The rapid fire machine gun sounds though are very cool.

If you are planning this, you should consinder to get a good video-tripod, if you haven't one already. Freehand recording will not give good pictures (RollingShutter), but it depends on your standart. For freehand documentation in "TV-Style" a normal camcorder will do a better job.

You might be interesrted in my blog and my youtube account:

there will be full test review about the k-7 videofunction. it is mostly in german, but i will try to translate it to english.
