K20D Problem

Has anyone else experienced their K20 frezzing? I had this happen a few times when I was shooting raw then all of a sudden my shutter acts like its speed when from 250 to 5 sec then the camera will not work and the only display is on top is just shows the battery icon. The camera will do nothing. To correct this I just remove the battery for a second which I guess resets it.

Somewhere on the forum is a poll that is a couple months old checking frequency of K20D lockups as you describe. Most are not affected but you do have some company. Search for the poll if you want to find more info.

Found the for "K20D freeze" and you will see the poll thread.

I experienced the same thing when trying to do burst shooting and activating live view. It was a problem with the circuit board and sensor. If it is still under warranty, send it into your nearest pentax service center and they'll fix it for you.
