Shot with K20 at iso 3200, using DA 70, at f2.4 and 1/20 second. Pretty aggressive vertical crop of a horizontal photo.
This is a tad soft, but very nicely done...

K-x with kit lens, ISO 3200, 1/60th at f4.5 at 35mm. Absolutely no luminance NR (chroma only).

Pentax K200d - very film like IMO

M 50mm @ F/1.7

M 85mm @ F/2

both at 1600 ISO, camera in B&W mode w/ full contrast, and underexposed

Pentax K-X ISO 6400 50mm 1.4 at 1.4 1/10 second (it was DARK and he was moving a lot)

K-X 6400 50-135mm 2.8 1/60

K-X 6400 50mm f4 1/8

Full set at Soundmill 6th Birthday Party! - a set on Flickr

Still loving my K-X if it just had a penta-prism and focus point indicators I would be utterly happy! Such a great low light camera...

From a show last night: K-x, 50mm f1.7 @1/50th, ISO 2500. This file has been pushed around quite a bit in lightroom. Final version will benefit from neatimage.

First time I did "real life" shooting with K-7 on ISO 3200. "Is it my imagination ..." as Stones song says, but after updating to 1.03 firmware it seems to me that noise improved even in RAW. I can't claim this, as before I did only test shoots on high ISO, but I didn't saw any slight noise banding that was present before this firmware. Anyway - ISO 3200, 2.8, 1/30 sec, exp compensation -1. Processed in Topaz Denoise, which I found just recently to be great tool

K-x, 6400, 1/60, 2.8...done the other night, first week with the camera.

Cross your fingers that the image link works.

It finally worked!

Now at 12800, things get funky, even with in-camera medium NR (like shot above)--but I got the shot of a good friend far away from me (90mm lens, 2.8, 1/25th), with in a very dark place.

But then a little NR in PP.

Yeah--not the best, but I would say this high ISO is a good thing! It got me the shot, and I haven't started experimenting with using the noise (no NR) for effect.

I take the K200 out on concerts and live events because I keep my K20 for studio. All are done at 1600 with either the Sigma 28mm or the M 40-80mm with "weak" NR and a little sharpening in Lightroom.

Happy puppy.
