After seeing all the nice 6400+ iso photos in this thread, i guess is should of shot higher than 3200 last night. Old habits die hard.

ISO 3200. Pentax M 50mm f1.4 stopped down to 5.6 for all of these.

Actually I think they are fine, higher ISO would also mean that you would see more off the background, which would come disctracting I think.

K-x all recent and at ISO5000 -

scene setter - notice guitarist on right in shadows and no direct light?


50-200 kit zoom




plenty of motion blur....

same night different gig...



this is really ISO5000.

ISO 6400. It almost looks like a painting with the amount of noise correction used, but it was dark and getting a decent picture at low ISO would be impossible without a tripod

KX at ISO 6400 and then pushed 1 stop.


KX at ISO 12,800 pushed 1 stop (grainy but held the detail pretty well.)
