@Stratman

Thank you, that show was great. He and Hagar were so much better than the recent Van Halen show.

You know I've never really been keen on hitting anything above iso 400 on my K10d. But after shooting some asa400 film I'm quickly developing an appreciation for film grain.

aka

Zorki 4,, Industar 50, f3.5 S=1/30th asa400

I imagine a time not to far away where I'll end up having to use thick ND filters across the front just so I can shoot a stressed amplifier to gain some grain back. HA indeed.

Two shots. iso 100, iso 1600.

Shot at 1.8 from a K 55mm

To be honest, I prefer the 1600 iso image,.. purely for the noise

What the truck is wrong with me :S

Shit I've been missing out.. All this bull twang about IQ and straight lines and other measurable differences. Man who cares. With noise you can further isolate subject and create a sense of decay and fragility. Brilliant!

How come no one told me this earlier :P

Again K10d 1600iso, K 55mm at f1.8

K10D + Takumars Both shot at ISO640, which for a K10 is considered "out there". However, I feel I can pretty much shot all day at 640 without losing too much and in some instances even 1250 can be used.

SMC Tak 50/1.4

Super Takumar 35/3.5
