Some of you might not like the subject matter, but I think this is pretty good, as I had no support, other than an iron rail fence that surrounded the venue. Taken from about 100', el-cheapo Tamron 28-300 @ 1600ISO, 6.3 f, Ist Ds2 camera.

K20D
ISO: 3200
Expunere: 1/2 sec
Deschidere: 8.0

PENTAX K20D
ISO: 6400
Expunere: 1/4 sec
Deschidere: 8.0

These were both taken in Raw DNG, EV+1, then pulled back when converted to Jpeg.
I found (and it's sure I'm not the only one here) that compensating EV to +, will improove radically the results at high Iso

My favourite thread. I recently took some pictures in MNAC (National Museum of Catalan Art) in Barcelona.
as example, masterpiece of El Greco (pardon the watermark):
PENTAX K20D
ISO: 1100
Expunere: 1/30 sec
Deschidere: 2.8

Sweet shots. Amazing how good they look at such high iso and low shutter speeds.
I like the last one best. Gives very good mood of night city.

While we're on the topic of presidents here's one casually walking by.

Pentax K-m/K2000, FA 50mm, F2.0, 1/30s, ISO 3200, no flash and a lot of NR in PP.

Comedy show with lots of weird stage low lighting. WB adjustment worked well. K2000, ISO 1600, Pentax 50 1.4, manual.

I am back....

K100d ISO 3200 tamron 28-75

ISO 6400 K20d A50-1.7 in the worst band lighting ever... I am not kidding there was not even one of the 4 100wt bulbs
even focused on the stage... Just shooting at the ceiling with some yellow & red gel... sad really

K20 3200 reflected mirror shot in the same crappy lighting as above
