K200D: about lithium battery durability

Hi all,
today the enclosed Lithium battery of my K200D ended their charge. I read that someone of you are interested on the performance result of the Lithium.
Using a Sandisk Extreme III card, I took a total of 932 shots where: 154 with the built-in flash; 28 were RAW+JPEG. All the JPEGs were 10 megapixel and SR was always turned on.
The medium shutter time of the shots is about 1/80.

Hope my experience could help.

Bye

Pretty much my experience too - about 900 exposures.

For info I also found that even after the camera thought the batteries were exhausted, they actually still retained a decent amount of charge.

It seems the camera is doesn't drain the batteries completely before it says they are flat. I keep the used batteries for a while and they have been able to happily power other devices (wall clock, penlight torch etc) for a long time after they came out of the camera.

Yes, that seems about right. I think I got about 1000 shots+ last year out of the initial lithium set. I didn't check exactly since it spanned several trips actually. But I was using external flash.

I noticed it too. The camera showed a flat charge but I was able to playback photos or even take new one with manual focus: the AF stopped working (that's how I noticed the batteries were empty).

Considering the flash use that sounds like what Pentax state. I´ll keep using my NiMH rechargeables though, with the original lithiums as backup.
