A question about focusing in Live View (K20D)

One thing I notice when using Live View is that when I press the shutter, the camera does not seem to focus at all, it just takes the picture. I noticed it recently because I usually use live view with manual lenses, but now I've started framing with live view, then disabling it, and pressing the shutter, with my AF lenses. Is there an option somewhere that activates AF when pressing the shutter while using live view?

You need to press the AF button on the back to do the focusing when in LV mode It's pretty slow though ...
