What is the blinking F -- in the viewfinder/lcd???

What is the blinking F -- in the viewfinder/lcd???

I haven't seen this before and the manual doesn't say anything about it. I have the K10D.

I found a eagles nest with 2 babies in it and the camera chose then not to work.
Really PISSED me off.

Cheers

Does the lens you have on the camera have an aperture ring, and if so, is it set to "A"?

Yep... that was it. I had accidentally moved the aperture ring when putting on the 2X converter . Put it on A and it works.

I've only had this camera for 6 weeks so I'm still learning things. This one is another one I won't forget.

Thanks for the very fast reply. Now I'll go back to that eagles nest at 6-7pm when the lighting is better.

You should go into the menu and enable ap ring anyway...

You should probably enable the ap ring in the menu anyway. Your camera would have worked if you had that setting clicked.

I always consider it a challenge when people claim the manual doesn't say anything at all about something. Even for cameras I don't even own, such as the K10D

Look on page 210 and page 219.
