I spoke with Pentax and the extended warranty will be honored in the state of Florida. Warranty papers state not valid in the state of Florida.

The site also says it's not valid in VA either. I'll be calling Pentax when I get home today (hopefully before they close). Can't find a link on the warranty website to do it online and thats where the link on the extended warranty card takes you. More stellar Pentax customer support.

I e-mailed, per the previous poster's suggestion, over the weekend, but haven't received any kind of confirmation. If I don't get a card within a week-10 days, I'll call for the card.

I called Pentax this morning and they told me that as long as you have the warranty card and a copy of the invoice, that you don't even need to register it. The guy told me it was a new policy initiated within the last 2 weeks. Seeing that I have both and registered it online as well on 7/10/09, then I feel okay with it.
