Advice on a walk-around body

I have a K20D that I use for planned shoots, and have no plans to upgrade to K-7 at least until next summer.

I've realized I need another, good body with a walk-around lens that I can toss into the car with me no matter where I go, and am considering K10D/K200D. For this purpose I have a DA 50-200 that I can either keep or upgrade to a 18-250, but I am not sure about the body. Any suggestions from those who know about these two bodies from experience?

Thanks much.

I briefly had a K10d, K200d and Km. Of all of them the Km actually was the best of the lot but it is a small camera. THe K20d will spoil you relative to the 10/200 imho. I think your best bet is Km or get the K-7 and put the K20d into knockaround status.

Or get an Olympus EP-1 with an adapter for K-mount

A walk-around body needs to be fit, at least fit enough to sustain the physical strain of walking. If you planned to run, I'd say be even more fit. But just for walking, especially just walking "around" as opposed to hiking the Himalayas, probably "fit" is fine.

Sorry....I had to do it. I feel so ashamed.

Okay, guess I asked for that by not saying "Camera Body" I am also making a note to specify this if and when I post pictures of (camera) bodies on this forum.

I'd like to think I could climb the Himalayas walking backwards on my hands, but man just that thought hurts!
