So the no vote is going to tell us how many members here dont have a K-7

Name of the thread is "I own a K-7"

most non K-7 owners would not even open the thread.

Tell me that NO will be anywhere near as accurate in real terms as the YES vote.

If you take the poll stats NO against YES as I write this it shows that close on 50/50 votes by those who open this thread and reply and it then showed as having 296 views

Is that a real reflection of the real number of non K-7 owners on this site.. percentage or numbers?

Maybe to start a poll you need two options (never started one myself)... maybe the second question would be better on the lines of

"I plan on being a K-7 owner"

Cheers

Not sure why members would cast a "No" vote

Neil
Why I cast a no vote? It's because I don't have one at the moment, plain and simple.

Whether I'll eventually get one is another question. With a perfectly good K20, I'm on the fence as to whether I'll eventually upgrade to the K7 or wait until it's successor arrives.

No for the time being, I'd like to, but there are WAY too many other expenses for at least the next 6 months to consider any serious upgrading from what I have (K100D)

And like I have said Heather the NO vote figure is not a true reflection of non K-7 owners.

Poll shows we have more K-7 owners as I write

cheers

And the YES vote figure is not a true reflection of K-7 owners.

Some may "own" it on paper, but not yet possess it. Some may have owned and possessed one but sent it back for any number of reasons. Some may have voted YES when they meant to vote NO. And some may just be fooling around by voting YES when they don't meet the criteria.

It's a statistical nightmare when you consider all the probabilities and possibilities. I think you'd have an error margin larger than your sample size.

And thats fair enough to say as well mate.

I agree more so that it is a statistical nightmare.

One would hope that dedicated Pentax users which the site seems to have would not ubuse the time taken by another member.

We would certainly have more than 49 K-7 owners... and I am damn certain far more members that dont yet have one.

I can assure you that I'm not a part of those statistics.

1 hard copy and 2 online manuals (pre-production and production). haven't read the two online manuals yet if there are any easter eggs.

Right.. thought I was missing out on something then.

I think the manual that comes with the camera is quite good and it's easy to find items and topics from its index.
