k200d and k2000 have the same sensor. youre paying more for the k200d for its weather seal, AF point selection, lcd on top. imho if you didnt buy already get the k20d for $629, better sensor and everything.

I have the K2000 and I am happy with it. The less AF point doesn't bother me much. And even with the faster AF speed, I've been using manual for almost all my shots, I'll have to wait until I shoot some things where I'll need AF to do the job for me. But the faster continuous shooting rate does seem like a plus when you need those fast shots.

Bummer man...really. But like was mentioned if it's not too late, consider the K20D as an option. Though from reading they are all good bodies so you work with the tool you have and make the shot.

BTW, last time I checked yesterday AM and afternoon, the K20D was about $605 from Amazon...

Have a read of this thread - its a sort of K200D love in.....

I don't have the K2000D/K-M, but can say the K200D is waterproof, has DOF preview (digital or stop down), is slightly larger, has more metering and AF points.
The number of meter points is the same for both cameras (k200D and k2000)- 16 segment. The K20D also has the 16 segment metering.

I've shot with both the k20D and the k2000, but not the k200D. The metering on the K20d is very conservative. The k2000 seems a bit improved as far as the in camera metering thus far. (less of a tendancy to under expose)

The only DOF preview onf the k2000 is the digital preveiw.

IMO, if you are going to shoot with manual focus lenses, get the k20D with the pentaprism viewfinder. The viewfinder on the k200 and the k200D are pretty much the same, slightly smaller pentamirror type (compared to the k20D)

WalMart has the K20 body for $599.

I emailed him to order that instead, so we'll see if I'm not too late.

One of the things that I never have read here that got mentioned is that you can attach a battery grip on the K200D..not so for the K2000 as it doesn't have a battery grip.
..forget about the K20D, just enjoy your K200D!

I'm cool--he hadn't ordered it yet.

So it's the K20D.

And if anyone starts mentioning the K7 I'm taking all of my toys with me and going home.
