The issue with Sigma is that they reverse engineer everything. That doesn't mean that their products are terrible, but it does mean that they were created without the assistance of the camera makers. Therefore, as time goes by and features change on cameras, it is entirely possible that their lenses will work less well. I guess one more reason to think about buying Pentax brand lenses, if you can afford it.
