Which would you choose?

I am getting close to buying my first dslr and am debating between the k200d and the k2000/k-m. I have found a dealer on ebay that has good deals on both. They have the k200d with 18-55mm lens and a 2gb memory card, or the k2000 with 18-55mm lens, 50-200mm lens, and remote. Both are brand new and the k2000 is only $20 more. Do you think the better features of the k200d are worth giving up the second lens for?

I'd say, take the K200D. But here's a thread that might be of help to you.

Another consideration: go for the camera, not the lens deal package - while the kit lenses are OK, they're not a great investment. Decide based on the camera, get the lenses you want as you go (unless you already know what you want). If you're into getting a decent consumer telephoto zoom, I'd recommend the DA 55-300 over the DA 50-200.

K2000 is smaller and not weather resistant. That would be my main consideration between the two. As others have said, don't focus on the lens packages, as if you get into this you'll have LBA and soon be buying most everything...

If weather resistance is important to you, then I would go with the K200. If that is the case, then I would look at getting one of the new weather sealed kit lenses to go with it. Maybe a little pricier, but more peace of mind as well when it dumps down rain.

Over all, I think the sensor is the same between the two cameras. The K2000 will focus a little faster, but lacks the ability to choose auto focus points and doesn't have a sensor to auto rotate photos. I have the K10, which has the same sensor and it produces excellent photos, so either way, I think you will be satisfied.
