K7's afc is for real.

just a sequence from a stage show show with the K7, the light wasn't tht low but all a mix of flash and auto wb, hard to tell which was which and full 2 sec burst ( more shots later ), a nikon D90 could not do this!! and I was next to him.

Dont blame the camera

I think the photographer with the D90 did a poor job.Maybe he had a bad day.Im sure you can get alot better results with the d90 than what he has done.I went from the K20D to the D90,absolutely no regrets.Dont put equipment down cause the photographer stuffed up.

Whatever be the reason for the poor quality out of D90 ...

The images from K-7 with 50-135 are awesome! The K-7 is certainly up to the task (in the right hands). Well done!

the k7 is almost too good a little warmth is missing here, add some d90 into that k7 and we have a winner

What are we looking at.
The Nikon guy has picked a better facial expression than any of your pictures. More ambient light use, and it is hard to say that he was using flash. I do not understand what I am meant to be seeing.

Both cameras were set on auto for these so it's what ever the camera chose, auto iso auto wb, auto exposure, afc ( except the last 2 afs ), so it was auto everything, the K7 was 400-800 iso some times 640 mostly f4 100-180 shutter, the 90d was all over the map up to 1600 iso and it did seem to want to use f2.8 al the time, both were using action exposure curves for the auto to.
The photographer switched to a 5d right after and he is probably one of the best sports photographers here, you could mark it down to unfamilairity with the cam and as you did see he did choose better expressions than me but the rest is in the prints, and this was all auto in cam jpg.

You’ve got some great shots there, thanks for posting.
With sports and wildlife, the increased framerate is gonna be a bonus and an important feature for me.

"Better" facial expression? Surely you mean "more pleasing to me" facial expression?

To me, the facial expressions in the D90 guy's pictures look bland, while our K-7 friend's pictures tell the story of a performer who's really enjoying what she's doing.

...great feathers, too!
