K100D upgrade advice!

I also have the K100D - three years now. Another option for you if the $1,300 for the K7 is out of range is wait 6 months when the price comes down to an even $1,000, or a year when it is $800. I'm waiting at least a few months until all the reviews are out, the green line is resolved, and the price comes down a hundred or two.

Have just purchased a nearly-new K20D on ebay for a reasonable price - thank you very much for all the advice! I really look forward to using it!
