It is not easy to say, as multiple versions f v1.02 exist. But I believe it is the same.

Trailing curtain sync with manual lenses

Next firmware should open up this feature. Trailing curtain or rear curtain sync is available with newer FA lenses, but not with manual lenses. The speed should be the only parameter needed for this feature, at least any speed slower than flash sync speed (ie 1/180). Hotshoe sync should be able to sync. then I can use a radio trigger. Hope this feature will be next in your list.

I've been following this site for a while now, but there hasn't been any activity the past few months.

I'd say the project has either been abandoned, or at the very least temporarily shelved. tr13 hasn't even logged into these forums since December 20th 2009, and on his own site, he hasn't been active since a comment reply made almost five months ago on September 30th 2009 (Script interpreter Ŧ Blog)

Sorry, guys!

Bro, I have a feeling that we'll be getting a K7 trump card in the next months instead of a firmware update. I just hope our hacking friends return to hacking. Like I said, I'll throw some cash at it!

Sorry for stupid's question Taking into account that Pentax DSLRs are used Fujitsu Milbeaut LSI, I believe that firmware is for this chip(s). But what is the ISA used - some own for Fujitsu ore something common like ARM/MIPS etc ?

I had no time to continue working on GX20 firmware lately.
If anyone is interested in looking on video features of K7 it could donate some useful things.
As I understand main problems are - fixed shutter speed.
And AGC on microphone input.
Looking at this could also help : "ESensorMode 0:HBin 1:HFul 2:9Mix", as I don't know if it is exposure sensor or main sensor related.
All this is extremely hard to do in free time.
As K7 firmware contains almost no strings.
And we still have no documentation and need to write many IDC scripts.

Unfortunatly I canīt help with the programming, I even suck at java
But if somehow you would manage to release a firmware like the magic lantern for canon (manual shutter and iso for me, I donīt care about the audio) I would be willing to even pay up to 50$ for download! My guess is that most of the people wanting this update would pay a small amount for this.

Here is $50 worth advice for you.
Almost no-one needs custom shutter speed for their video DSLR.
It is not as taking photos.
In most films shutter speed is fixed, aperture is mostly also, during each take.
And exposure are adjusted using film sensitivity and ND filters :-)
So, you need to be able to set your ISO right and make (or buy) VaryND filter.
I have one made from two circular polarizers (one must be reversed) and it works pretty good.

P.S. K7 uses correct shutter speed (so caller 180 degrees - or 1/60s for 30fps).
