Pentax K-7 at Fry's !

I don't know with other cities, but here is this weekend's ad for Fry's at City Of Industry, CA.

http://latimes.p2ionline.com/...?area=ROP&type=cat&webstoryid=5943092

They're selling new K-7 for $1297,-

This is a good chance for those who want to check the K-7 and hold it yourself.
At least I hope they will have it on display shelf.

See you at Fry's

Edit:
The links seems directing to main page only.
Click on "Retail Goods" on the upper left and then click the 1st Fry's Electronics"

Here I just saved the ad picture:

So, what features of the K7 make it worth more than twice the price of the K20?

The K-7 just came out and is retailing at $1299. The retail price of the K20D when it first came out was also $1299, but that was over a year ago and thanks to newer models coming out, the price for the K20D has fallen (like most models do after 6 months or so). Besides that basic explanation, there are tons of features on the K-7 that are not on the K20D. This forum and reading on the internet can answer your question in spades.

Both are great cameras.

Thanks, Jasvox. Didn't realize that I got such a good deal on my K20! I could, of course, just review the K7 manual online and figure out the difference in features. I guess I'm so pleased with the numerous features the K20 has, compared to my old Ist Ds2, that I just can't fathom the K7's being worth over twice the K20. By the time I decide to buy another camera, Pentax'll probably be offering something with 40 megapixels and three times as many menu options as the K7 offers.

The newest is always the most expensive, even if there isn't that much change. The big addition was video, but the body is significantly changed (improved?) as well.

I think it's as much the higher build quality, the svelte size and the newness factor as it is the extra features. Remember, the k20d was the same price when it was introduced!
